Healthcare Linen Services Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Shelbyville, KY to install, repair, and maintain large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems.

The role emphasizes safe, reliable operation with PMs, electrical troubleshooting, boiler operation, welding and cutting, hydraulics and pneumatics, and coordination with management and contractors to keep equipment in good working order.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience is required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 2nd Class B Boilers Operator License preferred.
  • Punctuality and reliability is a must.
  • Ability to solve problems independently.
  • Honesty and exceptional work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Maintenance Manager with all plant maintenance operations, ensuring that plant premises and equipment are kept in safe and clean condition
  • Assists in building a maintenance program that optimizes the plant’s uptime, considers costs, and satisfies all industry regulations and OSHA guidelines
  • Complete PMs. Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment and document the work done without direct supervision
  • Monitor equipment and ensure it is kept in good working order. Work closely with management to repair or replace equipment as needed
  • Monitor boilers and associated equipment for proper operation
  • Assist outside contractors with repairing and installing machinery
  • Able to apply general plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facility
  • Always complies with company policies and procedures
  • Maintains a neat and clean working area throughout the day
  • Operate forklift to unload and load trucks.
  • Other duties as assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs.

Full Time Hourly Direct Hires Shelbyville, KY, US

JOB SUMMARY:2n d shift The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment, as well as facility maintenance. Tasks include start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, maintaining and operating boilers, welding and cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and other systems

Physical Demands
  • Continual standing and walking during shift.
  • Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching during shift.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift over 80 pounds.
  • Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals.
Schedule
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Must be able to work OT and weekends as needed
