Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a modern industrial facility.
  • Associate degree, state-recognized apprenticeship/license, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Previous experience in the food or chemical industry is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and equipment documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
  • Respond to equipment malfunctions and complete repairs in a timely and safe manner.
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical equipment and plant systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair piping systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
  • Assist with plant-wide mechanical repairs, equipment installation, and fabrication projects.
  • Help maintain buildings and grounds as needed.
  • Operate powered equipment when required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, forms, and documentation.
  • Report defective equipment, unsafe conditions, and other concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, GMP requirements, and industry standards.
  • Participate in required training, including HazWOPER and Boiler Certification training.
  • Perform other maintenance and multi-craft duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to help keep production equipment, facility systems, and plant operations running safely and efficiently. This is a multi-craft maintenance role involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automated, and facility equipment. The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, complete repairs, and support a variety of plant maintenance and fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and accept direction and assistance when needed.
  • Must communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be able to use sound judgment when troubleshooting unusual or complex equipment issues.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, off-shifts, and weekends as needed.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly stoop, bend, twist, kneel, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to perform close visual work involving computers, controls, equipment details, and color identification.
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work may take place inside and outside the plant, including production areas, facility spaces, and offices.
  • Environment may include uneven walking surfaces, noise, dust, fluids, compressed gases, electrical equipment, rotating machinery, hot surfaces, wet floors, loose materials, and moving lift equipment.
