Job summary

Healthcare Linen Services Group in Memphis, TN is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems. This role includes start-up/shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, boiler operation, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

You will support the Maintenance Manager, help build a program to maximize uptime, perform PMs, and coordinate with contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance operations and keep plant premises and equipment safe.
• Develop a maintenance program to optimize uptime, costs, and OSHA compliance.
• Complete PMs; troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment; document the work.
• Monitor equipment and coordinate with management to repair or replace as needed.
• Monitor boilers and related equipment for proper operation.
• Assist outside contractors with repairs and installations.
• Apply general plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facility.
• Maintain a neat and clean workspace and comply with company policies.
• Operate forklift to unload and load trucks.
• Other duties as assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs.

Salary Range: $24.00 To $35.00 Hourly

JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment, as well as facility maintenance. Tasks include start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, maintaining and operating boilers, welding and cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and other systems

• Assists Maintenance Manager with all plant maintenance operations, ensuring that plant premises and equipment are kept in safe and clean condition
• Assists in building a maintenance program that optimizes the plant’s uptime, considers costs, and satisfies all industry regulations and OSHA guidelines
• Complete PMs. Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment and document the work done without direct supervision
• Monitor equipment and ensure it is kept in good working order. Work closely with management to repair or replace equipment as needed
• Monitor boilers and associated equipment for proper operation
• Assist outside contractors with repairing and installing machinery
• Able to apply general plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facility
• Always complies with company policies and procedures
• Maintains a neat and clean working area throughout the day
• Operate forklift to unload and load trucks.
• Other duties as assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs.

Physical Demands
