Job summary

Schlumberger is seeking a Wireline Maintenance Mechanic in Lafayette, LA to ensure on-time delivery of equipment per operational demands. The role focuses on improving maintenance efficiency, asset utilization and productivity within the Maintenance Base (MB).

You will maintain wireline surface equipment, record costs and performance in TLM, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a wireline surface mechanic.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability on wireline surface equipment.
• Willing to be on call and work 40+ hours per week at the Lafayette, LA base.
• Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned equipment according to the maintenance program and CMMS-based standards.
• Record materials, labor costs and maintenance history in TLM systems.
• Comply with Division TLM standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance asset utilization and cost of service delivery.
• Contribute to reducing downtime and improving turnaround time for maintenance.
• Support maintenance technicians' efficiency and productivity.
• Implement CoSD projects, including planned repair and reuse of parts.
• Participate in failure investigations as assigned.
• Comply with the TLM Competency Management System.

Job description

The Wireline Maintenance Mechanic located in Lafayette, La is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands. The Maintenance Technician improves maintenance related nonproductive time ratio of the Division's assets within the Maintenance Base (MB) and improves maintenance efficiency and people productivity.

• Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and compliant with the reliability centered maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard work.

• Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems to record materials and supplies, labor costs and equipment maintenance performance history such as movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain.

• Comply with Division TLM standards.

• Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans within the MB to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).

• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts and return authorization numbers, failures and work-in-process.

• Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.

• Implement CoSD projects, such as the planned repair and reuse of parts.

• Participate in failure investigations as assigned.

• Comply with the TLM Competency Management System.
