Job Position: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Union, IL

Pay Rate: $17.00-to $22.00/hr B.O.E.

Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Description: Maintenance

We are currently hiring for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for 1st shift. The position pays $17-22/hr based on experience and is Mon-Fri from 7:00am-3:30pm

We specialize in printed bags, such as non-woven, PET non-woven, paper, plastic, polyester, laminated, cotton/jute, and mesh, as well as ribbons and bows. Customers can choose from a wide variety of creative bag styles and numerous imprinting methods.

Maintenance Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot to determine root cause of equipment failure and perform corrective repairs.

• Disassembles machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.

• Repairs, replaces, adjusts, and aligns components of machinery and equipment.

• Test runs repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.

• Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment.

• Assists in other building maintenance or repair activities as needed.

Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications and Requirements

• Mechanically inclined, able to work independently or in a team.

• High School/Trade School Diploma or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledgeable with the use of test and measuring equipment (electrical multimeters, micrometers, calipers) as required to perform maintenance work.

• Good understanding of troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatics controls.

• Ability to read and understand electrical and pneumatic schematics, mechanical blueprints, safety instructions, and operating manuals.
