Job description

What's the role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for safely performing maintenance on Production Equipment within the facility. It includes preventative, reactive, routine, and non-routine maintenance.

Accountabilities:

• Comply with all HSSE regulations, policies, standards, practices and actively participate in improving plant safety culture
• Operate tools and machinery to affect assigned work, including welding, rotating equipment, transfer systems, and handling chemical hazards
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance such as pump rebuilds, piping, filter changes, using laser and sheave alignment tools
• Use computerized management systems for data entry and routine tasks
• Read and understand drawings including plant layout, P&ID, and equipment diagrams
• Understand piping systems and adhere to plant piping standards
• Work in a lubricants manufacturing environment
• Identify and implement equipment improvements to enhance plant reliability
• Communicate effectively with operations and supervisory staff regarding job status and issues

What we need from you

• Legal authorization to work in the US
• Minimum of 2 years' industrial mechanic or millwright experience, preferably in high-speed packaging
• Mechanical craft qualification such as apprenticeship, associate's degree, military maintenance school, or trade certification
• Experience with high-speed packaging equipment and rotating machinery
• Skills in using hand tools, reading drawings, taking measurements, installing/removing equipment, operating lifts and forklifts, welding (plus)

Hours, Wage, and Shift

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Overtime may be required on weekdays and weekends
• Shift rotation among first, second, and third shifts
• Wage: $35.73/hour, based on experience and qualifications
