Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all conveyor, sortation, and related material handling equipment
• Ensure proper, safe, and efficient mechanical and electrical operations within the Distribution Center
• Install new or modify existing equipment or systems, including designing, fabricating, and installing specialized equipment
• Repair and maintain machinery, including motors, pumps, conveyers, hydraulics, electro-mechanical control systems, and safety devices
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs or installations following safety procedures
• Inspect completed repairs or installations
• Recommend and implement improvements to equipment, operations, and procedures
• Contact vendors for service or parts as needed
• Assist or guide other maintenance associates in preventative maintenance and safety procedures

Knowledge and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent plus vocational training in a related technical field
• State licensure or proven knowledge in areas such as Electrical, Welding, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.
• Two to three years of industrial maintenance experience, especially with material handling systems
• Proficiency in areas like electrical/electronics, welding/fabrication, HVAC/refrigeration, plumbing, electrohydraulics, mechanical and electrical drive systems
• Willingness to work various shifts to meet business needs
