Job Description: Maintenance Technician at TJ Maxx

Responsibilities:

1. Operate cutting torches and various welding equipment proficiently.
2. Demonstrate carpentry skills and fabricate projects from wood or metal.
3. Recommend and implement improvements to equipment, operations, procedures, and safety protocols.
4. Support maintenance management by assisting with parts ordering and inventory management.
5. Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure optimal system performance.
6. Maintain all building and material handling systems in operational condition.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

• At least 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar field.
• Experience with preventative maintenance in material handling systems.
• Proficiency in at least three of the following areas: electrical/electronics, welding/fabrication, plumbing, electro-hydraulics, mechanical and electrical drive systems, PLC-controlled systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and NEC standards.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documents.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights or in unusual positions.
• Strong communication, writing, and computer skills.

Starting pay ranges from $22.35 to $30.15 per hour, based on skills and experience.
