Job summary

Flex-O-Glass, a plastics manufacturer, seeks a maintenance mechanic to support our Dixon, IL plant. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, focusing on keeping production equipment operating efficiently through preventive maintenance and repairs.

Our company is currently searching for someone to join our maintenance team as a mechanic who will work to provide support across our plant to ensure machine efficiencies. This position will work within a team of other mechanical staff and will be based in our Dixon. IL facility. This role will require the selected candidate to be in the plant Monday through Friday 7am - 3:30pm. Rate of pay dependent on experience

Key Role and Responsibilities:

• Maintaining production equipment to optimize proper operation through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of machinery
• Complete accurately all administrative documents required to maintain maintenance logs
• Ability to troubleshoot in Industrial, electrical A/C & D/C motors and drives
• Ability to read and comprehend schematics
• Full understanding of hydraulics, pneumatic/mechanical failures, and strong ability to correct failures

Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least three years of maintenance and/or electrical experience in industrial environment preferred
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• May be called in nights or weekends for issues regarding maintenance or overtime as needed
• Able to effectively communicate verbally and written on any outstanding issues or concerns
• Ideally possess technical degree and maintenance experience in plastics industry a plus
