Job summary

KCO Resource Management is seeking a motivated Maintenance Mechanic for a state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility in upstate New York Oswego County. You will perform daily and weekly machine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and assemble/disassemble equipment for production.

Ideal candidates have hands-on bakery equipment experience, GMP/OSHA knowledge, SAP experience a plus, and a careful, detail-oriented approach to maintenance in a fast-growing plant.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting production equipment.
• Experience with machine maintenance and preventive maintenance programs.
• Electrical and mechanical knowledge relevant to production lines.
• Strong reading/writing in English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production equipment as required.
• Assemble and disassemble machines.
• Set up and take down machines for daily production.
• Perform all handy work for the facility.
• Complete preventive maintenance schedule including oiling and routine upkeep.
• Perform weekly rounds and inspections of machines.
• Apply mechanical and electrical skills to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds.
• Utilize SAP CMMS to optimize asset utilization through scheduled maintenance.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Mechanic to join a great team at a state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility in upstate NY Oswego County location. In this critical role, you must be an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to provide daily and weekly machine maintenance, preventative maintenance, assembling, and disassembling of machines for production.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs troubleshooting on production equipment as required
• Assemble and disassemble machines
• Set up and take down of machines for daily production
• All Handy work for the entire facility
• Completing the preventative maintenance schedule as assigned for all machines and equipment, including but not limited to oiling of machines and regular maintenance
• Perform weekly rounds and inspections of machines to ensure all are running properly
• Utilizes mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds.
• Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (SAP) to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Must be able to work M-F 5:00pm-4:00am
• Prior mechanical experience with bakery machinery is a plus
• Industrial experience is a plus
• Handy work experience
• Working knowledge of Food Safety Principles, Good Manufacturing Practices, Environment Protection Agency and OSHA Requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-based applications. SAP, a plus.
• Experience leading and following safety/security policies and procedures.
• Ability to follow all sanitation and quality policies and procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Must be able to read and write in English. Spanish is a plus..
