Job summary

CMC, a Fortune 500 company, seeks a maintenance technician to keep our heavy industrial assets running across our Oklahoma facilities. You will maintain and repair equipment, troubleshoot, and support production in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 2-4+ years in heavy industrial maintenance, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and experience with motors, drives, PLCs, and 480V systems. Overhead crane experience is preferred; high heat and dusty zinc-exposure conditions apply.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years in heavy industrial maintenance.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with motors, drives, PLC basics, and 480V systems.
• Hydraulics and mechanical systems knowledge.
• Overhead crane experience preferred.
• Ability to work in high heat, dusty, zinc-exposure environments.
• Self-sufficient and able to prioritize during downtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment including overhead cranes, conveyors, heaters, pumps, and hydraulics
• Troubleshoot quickly to minimize downtime on a continuous process line
• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance
• Support rapid breakdown recovery and identify root causes
• Work directly with operations during production
• Maintain work orders, parts tracking, and failure documentation
• Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
• Provide fabrication and welding support as needed
