Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group in Byhalia, MS is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair stationary industrial machinery, with a 2-2-3 shift rotation from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The role requires at least 3 years of industrial maintenance, MIG welding skills, and strong problem-solving abilities. You will work closely with the Maintenance Electrician and other teams in a safety-conscious, modern facility offering growth, PTO, and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years Industrial Maintenance experience.
• Must have MIG welding skills.
• Computer literate.
• Good command of the English language.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate with all departments.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain stationary industrial machinery and equipment.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery during setup and repair.
• Inspect machinery to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
• Install and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Adjust machinery and replace defective parts.
• Operate lathes and grinders to fabricate parts during overhaul.

What you bring:

What you will be doing:

• Millwrights and industrial mechanics install, maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
• Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
