Job summary

ROCKWOOL Byhalia, MS is seeking a Yard Operator to join our team on a 7:00am - 3:30pm schedule, Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday. This role focuses on maintaining a clean, organized yard and supporting daily plant operations.

You will perform filter cleaning, chamber and duct work maintenance, and assist with general site tasks while adhering to safety standards and collaborating with multiple departments for smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Replace collection filters and clean filter box.
• Clean spinning chamber and gooseneck.
• Clean seal drum/drive sprocket/collection screen.
• Clean oven ducting/exhaust fans/hoods.
• Clean Curing Oven filters and area below.
• Clean Process Water tank and surroundings.
• Clean collection fan, impeller, and duct work.
• Prepare new SPC filter sets.
• Pressure wash filter cages.
• Keep tool storage areas clean and organized.
• Maintain cleanliness of emissions building.
• Clean melter exhaust piping, collection auger area, and LHC conveyor.
• Change out cooling zone filters.
• Clean cooling zone conveyor, ducting, and fan.
• Clean recycle area and spinner waste screw augers.
• Clean SPC duct and factory floor sump pits.
• Clean afterburner and dispose of waste.
• Clean all decks.
• Offer ideas for positive changes.
• Maintain cleanliness of factory grounds.
• Remove waste and sort into proper bins.
• Organize waste and raw material storage areas.
• Perform additional duties including painting and trim work.

What you will be doing:

• Replacing of the collection filters and cleaning filter box
• Cleaning of the spinning chamber and the gooseneck
• Cleaning of the seal drum/ drive sprocket/ collection screen
• Cleaning of oven ducting/ exhaust fans / hoods
• Cleaning Curing Oven filters and clean below Curing Oven when required
• Cleaning Process Water tank and surrounding area
• Cleaning the collection fan, impeller, and duct work when required
• Preparing new sets of SPC filters (must always be ready)
• Pressure washing of the filter cages
• Keep the tool storage areas clean and organized
• General cleanliness of the emissions building
• Clean melter exhaust piping, collection auger area and LHC conveyor
• Change out cooling zone filters
• Clean cooling zone conveyor, ducting and fan
• Clean recycle area and spinner waste screw augers
• Clean SPC duct
• Clean factory floor sump pits

• Offer ideas and suggestions for positive changes
• Responsible for cleanliness of the factory grounds
• Remove waste and place it in appropriate bins
• Ensure the waste and raw material storage areas organized and orderly
• Performed additional duties as needed, including painting, trim work, and other miscellane uous tasks.
