Job summary

Facility Services, Inc. (FSI) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team on site at our facilities. You will perform routine preventive maintenance and address building system needs to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities span HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and documentation. You will collaborate with staff and respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring reliable facilities for clients and patients.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on knowledge of building systems incl. HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively.
  • Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
  • Good verbal and written communication to report on maintenance activities.

Join the FSI Team as a Maintenance Mechanic!Facility Services, Inc. (FSI) is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to support our operations. If you're hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping facilities running smoothly, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll tackle a wide range of tasks to ensure our buildings and equipment are in top shape. Your work will span multiple trades, including:
  • Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Troubleshooting and repairs: Diagnose and repair issues with building systems, including plumbing leaks, electrical failures, and HVAC malfunctions.
  • Installation: Install new equipment and systems as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations, prioritizing tasks based on urgency.
  • Documentation: Maintenance accurate records or maintenance activities, inspections and repairs performed, adhering to compliance and safety regulations.
Required Skills And Qualifications
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various maintenance issues effectively.
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and report on maintenance activities.
What You’ll Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain NAC/LAC clearance
  • Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate with staff, officials, and patients
