Job summary

Facility Services Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to install, service, and repair complex environmental systems across healthcare and commercial facilities in Aberdeen, Maryland.

You’ll take ownership of HVAC control, ductwork, and refrigerant circuits, ensuring safety and reliability in critical environments. The role requires 4+ years of hands-on HVAC experience with universal certification; healthcare facility experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 4+ years of hands-on HVAC experience with universal certification.
• Healthcare facilities experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable record.
• Able to pass background, drug screen, and NACI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair HVAC control systems.
• Mount compressors and condensers per specifications.
• Fabricate and install ductwork and chassis components.
• Solder joints to complete refrigerant circuits.
• Connect motors, compressors, and control panels to power sources.
• Perform pressure tests and inspect joints.
• Maintain air conditioners and chillers up to 400-ton capacity.
• Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a skilled HVAC Mechanic who’s ready to put their expertise to work maintaining and repairing complex environmental systems. In this role, you’ll take ownership of installing, servicing, and optimizing heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment across high-performance facilities — including healthcare sites where your work truly makes an impact.

What You’ll Do

• Install, service, and repair electric, electronic, pneumatic, and digital HVAC control systems
• Mount compressors and condensers following engineering specifications
• Fabricate and install ductwork and chassis components
• Cut, bend, and join tubing and pipes, soldering joints to complete refrigerant circuits
• Connect motors, compressors, and control panels to power sources
• Perform pressure tests, inspect joints, and replace defective breakers
• Maintain and service air conditioners and chillers up to 400-ton capacity
• Keep safety, quality, and compliance front and center in everything you do

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• 4+ years of hands‑on HVAC experience (universal certification required)
• Experience in healthcare facilities preferred
• Valid driver’s license and insurable record
