About the role

As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining assets within our maintenance management framework. You will be responsible for applying work management processes and performing maintenance work to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our assets.

You will support the Team Leader with work allocation, scoping, and managing the operation work management process. You will also provide leadership cover when the team leader is on leave, facilitate daily shift start meetings, engage in safety field time, and support people management.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks on mechanical assets to ensure their reliability and operational efficiency.
• Identify defects and provide feedback on asset performance and health through our asset management system.
• Raise notifications and complete work orders.
• Support defect elimination processes and contribute to work management analysis and asset tactics reviews.
• Ensure work management activities are executed according to job instructions.
• Undertake post-maintenance equipment commissioning and clean-up.

What You'll Bring

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter with heavy industry experience.
• Ability to step in and out of the Team Leader role as required.
• EWP, working at heights, and dogging tickets are desirable.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
• Effective communication of maintenance information to stakeholders.
• Collaborative attitude to support maintenance activities.
• Flexibility to respond to changing maintenance needs.
