This position reports to the General Manager and develops skills in areas such as plumbing, masonry, carpentry, electrical work, custodial duties, concrete work, and other general labor tasks as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily department operations and assign work to maintenance staff as directed by the General Manager.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and equipment.
  • Ensure all personnel are accounted for daily and report absences or unusual occurrences.
  • Support special projects and events as assigned.
  • Ensure accident reports are completed promptly for any on-job incidents.
  • Assist with repairs and maintenance projects across properties under the General Manager’s guidance.
  • Perform or assist with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks.
  • Lead the maintenance team on projects, ensuring safety, quality, and a safe environment.
  • Manage facilities staff to deliver maintenance and operational services.
  • Hire and oversee contracted service providers for maintenance and operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, including pool maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment for repairs; knowledge of pool chemistry, filtration, and water treatment; familiarity with building management systems is a plus.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or equivalent.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting ability.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations for facility and pool maintenance.

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills:

Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, MAS 90, internet access, and PowerPoint.

Availability:

Regular hours with availability after hours as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for long periods, and perform physical maintenance tasks, including pool upkeep.

Work Environment:
