PPG's Strongsville, Ohio plant is seeking a Maintenance Manager who will lead maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable plant equipment and facilities. You will supervise a maintenance workforce, coach team members, and drive preventive and corrective maintenance, balancing safety with productivity.

Based at the Strongsville site, you will report to the Plant Manager, participate in cost control and budgeting, and coordinate with contractors while maintaining compliance with EHS procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma; degree in science or technical area preferred.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of supervisor experience, including training.
• Experience with technical problem solving and scheduling/planning of maintenance.
• Excellent communication, management and supervisory skills.
• Union supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Comply with PPG EHS procedures, priorities, and protocol
• Ensure safety of team members
• Plan, assign and oversee maintenance work assignments
• Lead team meetings and problem-solving efforts
• Performance coaching/counseling and serving as a resource for maintenance employees and MRO clerk
• Track performance within the department by key metrics
• Comply with PPG and regulatory requirements including maintaining proper documentation
• Oversee outside contractors
• Manage spending to set budget
• Regularly look for cost reduction and productivity improvements
