Job summary

Pratt Industries in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an experienced maintenance supervisor to coordinate the maintenance and repair of production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and safe operation. You will lead maintenance teams, plan preventive programs, manage parts and external vendors, and uphold OSHA and company safety standards while pursuing cost improvements.

The role requires four years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting and readiness to be on call 24/7.

Qualifications

• Four years maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
• High school diploma or GED.
• College and/or related technical courses preferred.
• Demonstrated personnel managerial skills.
• Computer/Data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Report to General Manager & Plant Manager any operation impediments.
• Monitor warranties and service guarantees; notify expiry dates.
• Conduct selective maintenance inventory and verify with computerized records.
• Oversee parts inventory and barcode scanning; order parts as needed.
• Initiate and maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
• Oversee external vendor contract work and installations.
• Support safety programs and housekeeping per company policies.
