Job summary

REM Community Services, a Sevita company, seeks a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations and staff, ensuring safe and well-maintained living spaces for individuals served. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, budgeting, and vendor coordination.

The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of related experience with supervisory responsibilities, strong safety knowledge, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3-4 years related experience with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Advanced technical training preferred.
• Working knowledge of safety codes/regulations and ability to handle maintenance equipment.
• Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks.
• Effective communication and strong problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ongoing preventative maintenance programs for assigned sites.
• Plan and schedule work assignments of maintenance staff.
• Analyze and resolve complaints pertaining to personnel, services, and equipment.
• Manage outside contractors; coordinate proposals and bids; maintain relationships with inspectors and vendors.
• Participate in budget planning for the maintenance department.
• Draft plans for building needs and repair damages; wire buildings for networking.
• Direct inventory control for equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee accounts with material vendors.
