Job summary

Bozzuto in the Los Angeles area is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across our residential communities. You will supervise technicians, drive preventative maintenance, and uphold safety and quality in every unit.

This is a hands-on leadership role guiding a team of technicians and ensuring dependable service for residents. The job requires 7+ years in facilities, 3+ years of supervisory experience, HVAC/EPA/NAPE certification, and strong knowledge of complex

Qualifications

• Education in the trades and 7+ years of facilities and/or residential building maintenance.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience hiring, developing and retaining teams.
• HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification.
• Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS.
• Advanced HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair skills.
• Basic carpentry, drywall and painting skills.
• Exposure to complex mechanical systems such as central plant, boilers and chillers.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and model Bozzuto's core values and culture.
• Hire, develop and provide on-the-job and classroom education to techs and staff.
• Address resident needs with timely follow-up and complete service tickets.
• Resolve maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Manage make-ready and turnover to lease apartments.
• Lead capital improvements and manage vendor projects within budget.
• Coordinate 24/7 emergency coverage and staffing schedules.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.
