Job summary

Acuity Inc. seeks an experienced Maintenance Leader to manage maintenance staff and coordinate contracted vendors at our Newark, OH site. The role focuses on preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for production machinery and facility systems.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in manufacturing, 5+ years in a leadership role, and strong knowledge of safety, regulatory compliance, and lean principles. Travel up to 5% is possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ years of manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing hourly and salaried associates.
• Proven conflict resolution skills and ability to resolve issues constructively.
• LEAN Principles and continuous improvement mindset.
• Regulatory & Compliance experience.
• Product Life Cycle Management experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Maintenance Department staff and coordinate all contracted vendors.
• Oversee safety and security of contractors on site.
• Ensure facility safety by coordinating with engineers on equipment needs and procedures.
• Protect operator safety by updating policies and equipment plans.
• Maintain production machinery and facility equipment in high readiness.
• Ensure pollution control equipment compliance and maintenance.
• Lead a maintenance team of 14–18 direct reports for a 24/7 operation.
• Enforce OSHA compliance and safe work practices.
