Job summary

Get Fresh Produce in Bartlett, IL is seeking a Maintenance Lead to manage the maintenance team and uphold equipment reliability across fresh-cut processing lines. This role requires ensuring GMP compliance and coordinating with Operations.

You will implement preventive maintenance using UpKeep or similar, track downtime and parts, and lead safety initiatives. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance in food processing or similar manufacturing.
• 2+ years of maintenance leadership or management experience.
• Experience implementing or improving preventive maintenance programs (UpKeep/MaintainX/Fiix/SAP PM or equivalent).
• Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyor, and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, electrical drawings, schematics, and parts diagrams.
• Knowledge of GMPs, allergen controls, and hygienic equipment practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance department and maintenance team.
• Develop, implement, and sustain a formal preventive maintenance program.
• Build PM schedules, work orders, parts tracking, and history records.
• Coordinate with Operations to schedule maintenance with minimal production disruption.
• Ensure reliable operation of processing equipment, conveyors, packaging, and utilities.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions to reduce repeats.
• Manage spare parts, inventory, vendor relationships, and repair budgets.
• Train team members on troubleshooting, PM completion, safety, and documentation.
• Track downtime, PM completion, and reliability trends; justify upgrades.
