Job summary

Pero Family Farms is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Delray Beach, FL to oversee equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, and compliance in a food manufacturing setting.

You will lead maintenance staff, implement preventive maintenance, ensure regulatory compliance (FDA, USDA, OSHA), and drive cost optimization and continuous improvement.

Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred; strong leadership and problem-solving skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor condition of equipment and facilities and identify maintenance needs.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate downtime with production to minimize disruptions.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and coordinate repairs for minimal downtime.
• Ensure safe work procedures and monitor maintenance staff for compliance.
• Oversee sanitation, GMP compliance, and facility upkeep in a food manufacturing setting.
• Manage maintenance department budget and forecast expenses.
• Evaluate external contractors and vendors for specialized services.
• Lead continuous improvement in equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
