Prismhr Hire is seeking a Maintenance Manager - Automation & Controls at our Syracuse site. Lead automation, controls engineering initiatives and talent.

Responsibilities include leading site automation strategy, overseeing PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and manufacturing technologies, and managing capital projects from concept to commissioning. The role drives reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement across Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering, automation, controls, or technical leadership experience.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.
• Strong experience with PLCs, HMI/SCADA, industrial networks, and manufacturing controls.
• Experience managing capital projects and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead site automation and controls strategy and initiatives.
• Oversee automation systems, controls infrastructure, and manufacturing technologies.
• Manage capital projects from concept through commissioning.
• Drive equipment reliability, uptime, OEE, and downtime improvements.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Supply Chain.
• Lead, coach, and develop engineering, automation, maintenance, and technical staff.
• Identify opportunities for new technology and continuous improvement.
• Establish technical standards, documentation, and best practices.
