Job summary

ESPO Engineering is assisting a worldwide agri-food ingredient manufacturer in Maquoketa, IA seeking a Maintenance Manager (1st shift). You will lead maintenance and reliability, utilize JDE for maintenance planning, and drive continuous improvement to minimize downtime.

The role requires 3+ years of maintenance management, a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, and strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This is a direct-hire, on-site opportunity.

Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing setting.
3+ years of maintenance management experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, track and document corrective and preventive maintenance activities using JDE.
Oversee spare parts inventory and purchasing in JDE; manage stock levels.
Develop proactive maintenance strategies; move from reactive to predictive maintenance.
Lead maintenance supervisors and technicians to execute tasks on production goals.
Monitor budget and track labor, parts, and contractor costs in financial systems.
Ensure OSHA, EPA and food safety standards compliance; maintain safety records.
Analyze downtime and equipment performance; perform root-cause analysis.
Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors for major projects.
Supervise installations, modifications and contracted work to minimize disruption.
Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment performance and production efficiency.
