Job summary

Amgen Inc. seeks a Manager Maintenance – AML6 Drug Substance to lead a multi-skilled maintenance team in a 12-hour night shift. You will drive reliability, manage maintenance planning, and oversee calibration programs in a regulated biotech plant.

This role requires strong leadership, strategic direction, and collaboration with Manufacturing and Support areas. You will develop procedures, train staff, and ensure safety, compliance, and continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma methods.

Qualifications

• In-depth maintenance and engineering support experience, including leadership roles.
• Experience managing people and projects within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of CMMS, reliability, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish and ability to work across levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Instrument and/or Maintenance Technicians.
• Oversee corrective, preventive maintenance and calibration programs.
• Drive maintenance planning and scheduling with cross-functional partners.
• Manage Change Controls and CAPA; support validation and audits.
