Job summary

Burkentine Real Estate Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs across properties. You will coordinate with technicians, respond to emergencies in a timely manner, and ensure systems operate safely and reliably.

Ideal candidates combine maintenance experience or trades education with strong communication and a service mindset, and are willing to join an on-call rotation. A background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in building maintenance or trades education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance issues including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Manage on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed.
• Ensure safety and reliability of building systems.

Burkentine is growing and as a result we are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our dynamic team. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance issues in the area of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Prefer a minimum of high school degree.
• Experience in building maintenance or an education in the trades.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair.
• An HVAC certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation.
• The ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
• Personal, reliable transportation to get to work and to respond to on-call emergencies.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• A service mentality and a thirst for learning.
