Job summary

Burkentine is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair to resolve issues in the property portfolio.

Responsibilities include preparing vacant apartments for move-in, performing regular upkeep, responding to on-call emergencies, and delivering outstanding resident service while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school degree preferred.
• Experience in building maintenance or trades.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair.
• HVAC certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Availability for emergency situations including on-call rotation.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds frequently and 10–20 pounds constantly.
• Reliable transportation to get to work and to respond to emergencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Burkentine is growing and as a result we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for resolving maintenance issues in the area of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.

Requirements

• Preparing vacant apartments for move-in through turn-over repairs and improvements.
• Resolving maintenance issues in the area of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Preserving the beauty of the building and the safety of the community through general upkeep and cleanliness, snow removal and grounds maintenance.
• Providing residents with outstanding customer service.
• Working weekends or evenings and being on call for after hour emergencies (including snow removal).

Qualifications

• Prefer a minimum of high school degree.
• Experience in building maintenance or an education in the trades.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair.
• An HVAC certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation.
• The ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
• Personal, reliable transportation to get to work and to respond to on-call emergencies.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• A service mentality and a thirst for learning.
