Burkentine and Sons Builders Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The role focuses on resolving maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair across the property portfolio.

Responsibilities include preparing vacant apartments, performing general upkeep, snow removal, grounds maintenance, and delivering outstanding customer service to residents. On-call rotations, some weekends or evenings, and a commitment to safety and quality are required.

Qualifications

• Turn-over repairs to prepare vacant apartments.
• Resolve maintenance issues (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances).
• On-call rotation and after-hours availability.
• Possess reliable transportation and strong communication skills.

• Provide residents with outstanding customer service.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the property.
• Snow removal and grounds maintenance as needed.

Description

Burkentine is growing and as a result we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for resolving maintenance issues in the area of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.

Requirements

• Preparing vacant apartments for move-in through turn-over repairs and improvements.
• Resolving maintenance issues in the area of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Preserving the beauty of the building and the safety of the community through general upkeep and cleanliness, snow removal and grounds maintenance.
• Providing residents with outstanding customer service.
• Working weekends or evenings and being on call for after hour emergencies (including snow removal).

Qualifications

• Prefer a minimum of high school degree.
• Experience in building maintenance or an education in the trades.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair.
• An HVAC certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation.
• The ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
• Personal, reliable transportation to get to work and to respond to on-call emergencies.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• A service mentality and a thirst for learning.
