Job summary

Emerald Packaging, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations and keep production equipment running safely, reliably, and efficiently in our Union City facility.

You will director maintenance teams and collaborate with production leadership to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs, troubleshoot complex systems, manage spare parts and contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing flexographic presses, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with idlers and bearings, gearboxes, diaphragm pumps, and machine rebuilding.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with industrial electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage personnel and work with Production and leadership.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, CUPA, BAAQMD and other regs.
• Promote safety and identify reliability and cost improvements.

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations and help keep our production equipment and facility running safely, reliably, and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, mentor, schedule, and develop maintenance personnel.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and calibrate complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, electromechanical, and control systems.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of flexographic presses, bag machines, and other critical production equipment.
• Oversee facility systems including HVAC, compressors, chillers, plumbing, utilities, generators, and other infrastructure.
• Manage maintenance work orders, spare parts inventory, purchasing, and maintenance-related costs.
• Coordinate and oversee outside contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with OSHA, EPA, CUPA, BAAQMD, fire, and other applicable regulations.
• Promote safe work practices and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance processes, and operating costs.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing flexographic presses, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience withidlers and bearings, gearboxes, diaphragm pumps, and machine rebuilding.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with industrial electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems.
