The Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising all issues related to maintenance and improvement of equipment, facilities, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions And Job Duties
- Is thoroughly trained and aware of SOP’s, including sanitation, safety, and all operations.
- Oversees the training of staff in the department, including on the job training, departmental training, training with designated trainers. Helps prepare training materials.
- Manages all Maintenance staff, including issuing Corrective Action Reports
- Orders all departmental operating equipment and supplies through purchasing
- Attends necessary leadership meetings
- Participates in audit committees where required
- Maintains an organized, clean work area with an emphasis on safety and meets company standards
- Seeks out new ways to improve productivity.
- Maintains excellent communication and relationships with other employees to foster team effort
- Lead root causes analysis of failures and drives the implementation of corrective actions.
- Originate, develop, and facilitate analysis methods for determining the reliability of components and equipment.
- Provide leadership and technical support to cultivate a proactive maintenance department
- Utilize CMMS software to identify trends and premature failure issues, implement preventative maintenance programs, and track parts and inventory.
- Design, develop and implement equipment changes that will correct reliability, improve productivity, improve efficiencies and increase quality part yield
- Attend meetings to drive immediate continuous improvement and compliance to productivity goals
- Work with outside contractors and facilities manager for various needs, IE air compressors, boiler and chiller vendors, lawn care, garage doors, electrical, HVAC etc.
- Forklift certified
- Be available by phone 24/7
- All other duties as defined by the Director of Operations
- Additional duties may be assigned and/or required
Personal Qualifications
- Must manage others.
- Must be a self-motivated person who can work with minimum supervision.
- Maintain excellent communication and relationships with other departments to foster real team effort within the company.
- Must be well organized, able to work with deadlines while under pressure, and maintain a cheerful disposition
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to adhere to schedule work hours
- Maintain proper hygiene
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions in English
Education Requirements
- Supervisory experience
- Computer experience is preferred
- Competent in CMMS Software
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 55 pounds regularly
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
