Job summary

PetIQ is seeking a Packaging Line Traffic Controller to manage finished goods, supply production with packaging materials, and ensure pallets are wrapped, tagged, and scanned correctly. This role reports to the Warehouse Manager and requires teamwork, adherence to schedules, and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate will be forklift certified, capable of operating a pallet jack and wrapping pallets, with strong attention to accuracy and a proactive approach to supporting QA and warehouse

Qualifications

  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions in English.
  • Forklift certification is required.
  • Ability to operate a manual and electric pallet jack.

Job description

The Packaging Line Traffic Controller is responsible for the handling and storage of finished products, supplying production with materials, and ensuring that all pallets are wrapped, tagged with placards and correctly scanned into the system. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Functions And Job Duties
  • Maintain an organized, clean work area.
  • Knows all applicable Sanitation and Safety SOP's.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Able to operate a manual and electric pallet jack.
  • Wrap pallets using a wrapping machine.
  • Ensure all necessary placards are placed on pallets, with correct, pallet sheets and pallet tag.
  • Work effectively with members of the QA team to pass pallets and other team members.
  • Scan finished pallets into the system.
  • Proper use of tablet and scan.
  • Verification all entries are correct.
  • Store finished pallets in the proper spot in the warehouse.
  • Help supply production lines with packaging materials.
  • Effective communication with team members and other colleagues.
  • Additional duties may be assigned and/or required.
Personal Qualifications
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to adhere to schedule work hours.
  • Maintain proper hygiene.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions in English.
Education Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 55 pounds regularly
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
