Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Salt Lake City to oversee conveyor systems and facility operations. You will lead a maintenance team, manage vendor relationships, and drive preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operations.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem-solving, and a mechanical background, with a Monday–Friday schedule 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (or until shift completion) and opportunities for bonus based on KPIs. Salt Lake City, Utah.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 5 years in building operations or facilities management.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Solve maintenance problems with minimal standardization.
• Lead and supervise a custodial team for high cleanliness, safety, and facility maintenance.
• Perform duties under time pressures.
• Test emergency generator.
• Record data from main electrical panels.
• Inspect equipment and building areas; record inspections.
• Test sprinkler system components and alarms.
• Inspect fire pump and alarm.
• Repair or replace equipment to minimize downtime.
• Inspect and lubricate condensers and evaporators.
• Annual inspections on refrigeration compressors and maintenance.
• Inspect and service freezer/cooler doors; manage parts inventory.
• Design and construct carpentry items as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Details:

• Location: Salt Lake City OpCo, 1635 S 5070 W. Suite B, Salt Lake City Utah 84104
• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 6AM to approximately 2:30PM or until completion of shift

• Compensation: $85k-$95k base salary, depending on experience, plus bonus potential based on KPIs!!

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Manager position reports to the Operations Manager and is a mechanically inclined maintenance professional that has experience in conveyor systems, warehouse management control systems, and preventative maintenance schedules. A successful candidate will have the ability to negotiate and manage vendor relationships while obtaining the skills to be a strong leader, teacher, decision maker, and problem solver.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ability to solve maintenance problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where minimal standardization exists.
• Lead and supervised a custodial team ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and facility maintenance.
• Ability to perform assigned job duties under constant time pressures.
• Test emergency generator.
• Record data from main electrical panels.
• Inspect various equipment and building areas, including, but not limited to, air compressors, roof and roof-mounted equipment and sprinkler systems; record data from inspections.
• Test sprinkler system's water flow, tamper switches and sprinkler system alarms.
• Test fire pump and alarm.
• Inspect all equipment and repair or replace as necessary to avoid down time.
• Inspect, lubricate and clean condensers and evaporators.
• Perform annual inspections on refrigeration compressors, including change oil and filter, disassemble compressor for internal inspection and align mechanical couplings.
• Inspect and lubricate freezer and cooler doors and perform needed repairs; maintain inventory of repair parts.
• Design and construct carpentry items requested by other departments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address maintenance and operational issues quickly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in building operations, facilities management, or a related field
• 5+ years knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements, including fire codes, building codes, and environmental regulations
• OSHA Certifications
