Job summary

Kyocera Unimerco, a global distributor and manufacturer of cutting, measuring and fastening tools, seeks a Manager - Machine Maintenance at the Saline facility. This hands-on leadership role focuses on reliability, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of production equipment.

The successful candidate will coordinate maintenance priorities, budgets, and external contractors while collaborating with production, engineering, and international teams across KYOCERA

Qualifications

• Technical education or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance or related field.
• Strong experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial production equipment.
• Manufacturing experience required; CNC equipment experience strongly preferred.
• Previous leadership or project leadership experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills with knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
• Excellent planning, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read manuals, drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Ability to work with production teams, management, contractors, vendors, and international colleagues.
• Experience with maintenance planning, budgets, projects, or KPIs preferred.
• Must be willing to work hands-on with production equipment.

Role Description The Manager - Machine Maintenance is responsible for the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production equipment and related systems at KYOCERA UNIMERCO's Saline facility.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position. The Manager will actively participate in troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment improvement while coordinating maintenance priorities, resources, outside contractors, and assigned maintenance personnel.

The position works closely with Production, Engineering, equipment manufacturers, and maintenance teams throughout the global KYOCERA UNIMERCO organization.

Qualifications

• Technical education or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance, automation, mechatronics, electrical, mechanical, engineering technology, or a related field.
• Strong experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial production equipment.
• Manufacturing experience required; CNC equipment experience strongly preferred.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, project leadership, or demonstrated ability to lead and develop others preferred.
• Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or industrial control systems.
• Strong planning, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Ability to work effectively with employees, management, contractors, vendors, equipment manufacturers, and international colleagues.
• Experience with maintenance planning, budgets, equipment projects, or maintenance data/KPIs preferred.
• Must be willing and able to work hands-on with production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Schedule flexibility may be required to support production needs and significant equipment issues.
• Occasional domestic and international travel may be required for training, equipment projects, technical support, and collaboration with other KYOCERA UNIMERCO locations.
