IMETCO in Norcross, GA seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance, facilities management, and reliability programs across multiple sites. You will drive uptime, safety, and regulatory compliance while directing a skilled maintenance team and managing budgets.
You will develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, oversee utility systems, and collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Safety to align maintenance with production goals. Travel may be required.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, directing, and optimizing all plant maintenance activities, facilities management, and equipment reliability programs to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient operations. Based at the main facility, the Maintenance Manager oversees equipment, machinery, and facilities across all multi-state manufacturing sites and mobile operational units. This position leads the maintenance team, manages departmental budgets, and establishes comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. The role plays a vital part in driving operational excellence, maximizing uptime, minimizing downtime, and ensuring total facility compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Ability to communicate orally in a clear, concise, and effective manner with staff, vendors, company representatives, management, and external contractors in face-to-face, one-on-one, and group settings. Ability to use a telephone for communication. Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance at the facility. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, crouch, and bend for extended time periods. Ability to climb ladders and extension ladders routinely, and maneuver across different facility platforms while adhering to fall protection requirements as necessary. Position involves standing and moving throughout the plant for extended portions of the shift. Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges. Ability to accurately distinguish color variation. Read at, above, and below shoulder height. Carry, push, pull, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift, maneuver, or pivot over 50 lbs. with assistance. Sufficient manual dexterity required to operate tools, controls, and office equipment. Normal range of tolerance to household and other types of typical industrial/construction chemicals and solvents. The manufacturing plant is not climate controlled. Available outside of normal business hours to handle facility breakdowns and emergency repairs. Must have the ability to travel by plane, operate a motor vehicle, maintain a valid state motor vehicle driver license, and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle driving record. Ability to occasionally work evenings, weekends, and overnight travel required.
