LT Foods Americas is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance department of our RTH and Dry rice packaging plant in Missouri City, TX. You will lead a team of mechanics, manage the R&M budget, and drive TPM initiatives to maximize OEE.

Responsibilities include providing technical leadership for packing machines, retort systems, robotics, and end-of-line automation, while maintaining CMMS data accuracy (SAP PM) and ensuring food safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) is required.
  • 10+ years of maintenance management experience, with last 5 in leadership roles.
  • Experience in food processing or retort/plants preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of mechanics, mentoring and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Assign tasks and projects to team members, ensuring work is completed on time and meets quality and food safety standards.
  • Provide technical leadership in operation and maintenance of the plant including packing machines, retort systems, robotics, utilities and end-of-line automation.
  • Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget, oversee R&M expenditures and spare parts policy.
  • Drive TPM-based reliability initiatives to maximize OEE and reduce recurring breakdowns.
  • Own CMMS data (SAP PM) for work orders, PM compliance, and asset tracking.
  • Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and align engineering activities with company objectives.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the Maintenance department of our RTH and Dry rice packaging plant. As an integral part of our team, they will be responsible for managing the maintenance team, ensuring overall efficiency of plant, manage R&M budget and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The role will be reporting to our Director of Manufacturing & Engineering and will be based out of Missouri City, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of mechanics, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Assign tasks and projects to team members, ensuring that work is completed on time and meets quality and food safety standards

Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership and expertise in the operation and maintenance of overall plant which includes packing machines, retort systems, robot, utilities, “end of line” automation etc.

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance plant efficiency

Budget Management: Develop and execute the annual maintenance operating budget, oversee R&M department expenditures. Developing and Maintaining a spare part policy and manage ordering and inventory of all critical spare parts.

Reliability Strategy & OEE: Drive plant-wide reliability initiatives using TPM methodologies to eradicate recurring equipment breakdowns and maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

CMMS Data Ownership: Own and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (e.g., SAP PM), ensuring complete data accuracy for work order closeouts, PM compliance, and asset tracking.

Training and Development: Identify training needs within the maintenance team and develop programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, presenting technical information in a clear and understandable manner. Collaborate with other department heads to align engineering activities with overall company objectives.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a retort plant or similar manufacturing environment. Should have around 10+ years of experience with last 5 in leadership role.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the food processing industry
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of SAP and Industry 4.0 will be a plus.
