Job summary

The Sterling Choice is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager for a high-volume food manufacturing facility in Texas. You will own the maintenance and reliability function, lead the maintenance team and collaborate with Operations and Engineering to boost uptime, efficiency and equipment performance.

Candidates should have 7+ years in maintenance within manufacturing, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and experience with PLCs, VFDs, and packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of maintenance or engineering experience within manufacturing.
• Experience managing a maintenance team within a manufacturing facility.
• Food, beverage, CPG, dairy, meat, bakery, ingredients or similar manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, conveyors, packaging equipment, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and external contractors.
• Proven track record of improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred but not essential where relevant experience is strong.

Responsibilities

• Reduce unplanned downtime through effective root-cause analysis and corrective action.

• Partner closely with Production and Operations leadership to prioritise maintenance activity.
• Support CAPEX projects, equipment installations and plant improvements.
• Develop and implement maintenance KPIs and performance measures.
• Build a proactive maintenance culture across the facility.
• Coach and develop maintenance technicians and supervisors.
• Ensure all maintenance activity meets company safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across plant maintenance and reliability.

Maintenance Manager – Food Manufacturing

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 + Bonus

The Opportunity

A leading food manufacturing operation is looking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Manager to take ownership of the maintenance and reliability function at a high-volume manufacturing facility in Texas.

This is a senior site-level leadership position for someone who can lead a maintenance team, improve plant reliability and work closely with Operations and Engineering to drive measurable improvements in uptime, efficiency and equipment performance.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in food, beverage, CPG or other high-volume manufacturing environments and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced production facility.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of maintenance or engineering experience within manufacturing.
• Previous experience managing a maintenance team within a manufacturing facility.
• Food, beverage, CPG, dairy, meat, bakery, ingredients or similar manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, conveyors, packaging equipment, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and external contractors.
• Proven track record of improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred but not essential where relevant experience is strong.

$120,000 – $150,000 base salary + annual bonus
