What you’ll do

The Maintenance Manager will oversee world-class maintenance operations at Niron’s Minneapolis-based R&D and Commercial Pilot facilities, which develop and pilot production of our rare-earth free magnets. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians responsible for facilities, processes, and analytical equipment, both existing and under procurement. Reporting to Niron’s Senior Manager of Facilities, your responsibilities include:

  1. Partnering with engineers, technicians, vendors, and contractors to maintain and install critical equipment and infrastructure.
  2. Conducting inspections and implementing fixes to ensure functionality.
  3. Planning and supporting repair and maintenance activities.
  4. Developing and implementing maintenance procedures.
  5. Enhancing Niron’s sustainability initiatives.
  6. Ensuring building automation systems meet operational and safety standards.
  7. Motivating and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
  8. Leading, managing, and developing a team of engineers and technicians.
  9. Implementing and maintaining a maintenance management system.
  10. Supporting and leading small-scale capital projects.
  11. Developing Maintenance Dashboards and reporting on continuous improvement areas.
  12. Demonstrating successful plant maintenance with measurable improvements in plant performance.
  13. Communicating effectively across all levels of the organization.
What we’re looking for
  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
  2. At least 10 years of experience maintaining facilities and equipment in a commercial production environment.
  3. Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
  4. Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  5. Deep understanding of core building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and automation.
  6. Ability to lead by example and “figure things out”.
  7. Experience maintaining diverse building, utility, and process plant equipment.

  1. Experience with CAD software.
  2. Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
  3. Customer and quality-oriented mindset.
  4. Experience with CMMS and plant maintenance management software.
Our pay and benefits
  1. Salary: $105,000 - $135,000 annually, based on experience and skills.
