Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC seeks a Maintenance Manager to drive operational excellence across processes at a production facility. You will maximize machine efficiency, manage maintenance schedules, and lead CAPEX projects while guiding local maintenance staff for safe, cost-efficient operations.

Key qualifications include a 4-year degree (preferred), extensive maintenance experience in high-volume settings, and strong leadership and safety credentials.

Qualifications

  • Education: A 4-year college degree is preferred.
  • Automation: A background in automation systems is highly desirable.
  • Safety Credentials: Documented OSHA safety training and/or formal safety accreditation.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with wage/hour laws, employee relations, and safety standards.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in maintenance in high-volume production/warehouse environments.
  • Environment: Experience in 24-hour production/warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance: Manage the preventative maintenance program to optimize equipment longevity.
  • Scheduling & Downtime: Coordinate maintenance schedules and monitor downtime for efficiency and safety.
  • Technical Support: Diagnose malfunctions and provide hands-on support to maintenance staff.
  • System Monitoring: Maintain the PDM system and handle software/hardware updates.
  • Strategic Analysis: Advise GM on equipment analysis and cost-effective actions.
  • CAPEX & Project Management: Lead CAPEX projects within budgets and timelines.
  • Team Leadership: Direct, train, and develop maintenance staff.

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to drive operational excellence across all processes. In this role, you will maximize machine efficiency, manage planned maintenance schedules, and spearhead CAPEX projects within the service center. Partnering closely with the General Manager, you will provide guidance and oversight to the local maintenance staff, ensuring the safe, effective, and cost‑efficient operation of all plant and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Support and manage the preventative maintenance program at the local facility to optimize equipment longevity.
  • Scheduling & Downtime: Coordinate maintenance scheduling and monitor machine downtime to maximize efficiency while maintaining safe work practices.
  • Technical Support: Diagnose malfunctioning systems and provide hands‑on technical support to facility maintenance personnel.
  • System Monitoring: Maintain and monitor the PDM system, including troubleshooting issues, software updates, and hardware installations.
  • Strategic Analysis: Partner with the General Manager to provide equipment analysis and recommend actionable, cost‑effective courses of action for machine operations.
  • CAPEX & Project Management: Execute CAPEX projects and initiatives within approved budgets and timelines, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team Leadership: Direct, train, and develop maintenance employees to install, maintain, and repair equipment while promoting good housekeeping and safe practices.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Skills
  • Education: A 4-year college degree is preferred.

  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with applicable federal and state laws pertaining to wage and hour regulations, employee relations, and safety standards.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of previous maintenance experience in a high-volume production, agricultural production, or distribution facility.
  • Environment: Proven experience working within multiple high-volume, 24-hour production/warehouse environments.
  • Safety Leadership: Solid background in safety program management.
  • Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated aptitude in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications, with the ability to overcome large, complex integration system challenges.
  • Project & Process Management: Experience in process development with a proven record of balancing cost, quality, and performance, alongside the ability to develop and manage project plans with a budget.
  • Team Development: Proven ability to build, develop, and lead an effective team within a high-volume, round-the-clock environment.
  • Core Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, exceptional on-time decision‑making abilities, and strong planning/organizational skills.
  • Software & Tools: Computer literacy, including proficiency in standard business applications within the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility: Must be willing to work flexible schedules and hours to support operational needs.
