Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions seeks a Maintenance Manager in Detroit, MI to lead daily operations and maintenance of plant utility systems including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, water treatment, and wastewater equipment.

You will supervise skilled trades, coordinate preventive and emergency maintenance, and ensure environmental compliance while supporting automation systems such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of plant utility systems including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, water treatment, and wastewater equipment.
• Supervise skilled trades employees ensuring safe, reliable operation of critical utility systems supporting manufacturing processes.
• Manage preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize work orders, allocate manpower, and manage contractors to ensure operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including wastewater discharge permits, water treatment, and air permits, maintaining accurate operational records.
• Lead troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, and control issues across plant systems; support automation systems such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and instrumentation.

Critical Information

Shift/hours: Any shift, including weekends and overtime required to support plant operations. Remote/on-site/hybrid: On-site. Compliance/submission notes: Ensure environmental regulation compliance, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with outside contractors and vendors.
