Job summary

EmployBridge is partnering with a large, highly automated manufacturer in Carol Stream, IL to hire a Maintenance Manager for a 361,000 sq ft facility. This role emphasizes visible plant-floor leadership, developing maintenance teams, and driving reliability improvements.

You will lead 25+ technicians (including 4 direct reports), drive preventive maintenance strategies, and collaborate closely with operations to boost equipment reliability and production performance across 19 production lines.

I’m partnering with a well-established manufacturer in Carol Stream, IL to hire a Maintenance Manager for a large, highly automated production facility.

This is a leadership-focused opportunity for someone who enjoys being visible on the plant floor, developing maintenance teams, improving preventive maintenance programs, and partnering closely with operations to drive reliability and performance.

The Opportunity

• Base salary up to $130,000
• 10% annual performance bonus
• 401(k) with 4% company match
• Primarily first-shift schedule
• 100% onsite in Carol Stream, IL
• Relocation assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis
• Opportunity to lead maintenance within a 361,000 sq. ft., highly automated manufacturing facility

What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop a maintenance organization of approximately 25+ employees, including 4 direct reports
• Build accountability and strengthen the capabilities of the maintenance team
• Drive preventive maintenance strategy, execution, and continuous improvement
• Partner closely with operations and plant leadership to improve equipment reliability and production performance
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, systems, and overall execution
• Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and provide hands-on leadership when needed
• Develop maintenance technicians and create opportunities for internal growth and advancement
• Support a highly automated operation with approximately 19 production lines
• Help build a stronger, more proactive maintenance culture

What We’re Looking For

• Previous maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing, production, or another highly automated operation
• Strong experience leading and developing maintenance teams
• Solid understanding of preventive maintenance and equipment reliability
• Ability to lead from the floor rather than solely from an office
• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with operations and plant leadership
• Demonstrated career stability and/or progressive growth into increasing levels of responsibility
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly automated environment

Preferred Experience

• Food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or another regulated manufacturing environment
• Experience with highly automated production equipment
• SAP or similar maintenance management systems

Food manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. We’re open to strong maintenance leaders from other highly automated environments who can demonstrate transferable leadership, reliability, and team-development experience.
