Parker Aerospace in Saint Marys, Ohio, is seeking a dependable Maintenance Machine Repair/Electrical technician for 1st shift (7:00am–3:00pm). Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of related maintenance experience.
  • Ability to perform welding, pipe fitting, fabrication, rigging, gearbox and bearing, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic/pneumatic maintenance.
  • Experience with troubleshooting or programming PLC controllers preferred.
  • Basic math and blueprint understanding.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable maintenance team member to performs general maintenance on equipment and building facilities on first (1st) shift (7:00am - 3:00pm). The starting rate for this position is $29.24/hour and goes up to $33.91/hour. Responsibilities
  • Performs the required duties in accordance to safety guidelines and lean principles by complying with all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Executes preventative maintenance of equipment and building facilities.
  • Troubleshoots various types of manufacturing equipment to limit machine downtime.
  • Uses a broad range of hand and machine tools to disassemble and reassemble equipment insuring accurate and efficient operations.
  • Performs building maintenance duties, including, but not limited to, troubleshooting light electrical equipment, carpentry and plumbing.
  • Initiates machine programs using CNC or P.C. programmers
  • Identifies and remediates safety hazards and concerns.
  • Works with outside contractors to ensure business objectives are met in a timely fashion.
  • Requires the use of shop math, complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, various types of measuring instruments, and precision instruments, along with electrical and electronic devices and programmers used to identify problems on various types of CNC and P.C. controlled machines.
  • Performs machining and welding
  • Stays up-to-date with related maintenance training of electronic and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform the required duties in accordance safety guidelines and lean principles (including use of formal problem solving).
  • Actively participates in company-sponsored training programs.
  • Deals ethically with Parkers customers, suppliers, fellow associates, and the general public.
  • Clean equipment and work area.
  • Completes additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • 3+ years of related maintenance experience and/or maintenance education required
  • Ability to perform maintenance trades including welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, rigging systems, gearbox and bearing, maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic
  • Experience with the troubleshooting and programing of PLC controllers is preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Basic math skills required
  • Basic understanding of gauging / measuring devices required
  • Basic blueprint understanding required
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to complete tasks
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and problem solve.

Closing Statement Physical Demands/Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and speak. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit and use hands to grasp and handle. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs. The employee will regularly bend, stoop, and stretch handling parts/objects in various situations. Specific vision requirements include close vision, ability to focus, and depth perception. This position may be exposed to oils, dirt, fumes and moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
