Job summary

Ford of Kendall in Miami, FL is seeking an Automotive Maintenance Line Technician for our high-volume service department. You will perform repairs, test-drive vehicles, and communicate with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed throughout the service process.

This role requires 1–2 years of technician experience; Ford Diesel or OEM experience is a plus. ASE certification is a plus. We offer paid training, a competitive benefits package, and clear opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1–2 years of technician experience.
• Ford Diesel experience is a plus.
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• Ford or other OEM experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles and inspect components and systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C).
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional service needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
• Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Requirements

• Must have at least 1-2 years of Technician Experience
• Ford Diesel experience is a PLUS
• ASE Certification is a plus
• Ford or other OEM experience required
• Experience in Gas and Diesel
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be a team player
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
