Job summary

Ford of Kendall in Miami, FL is seeking an Automotive Diesel Technician to join a high-volume service department. You will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel vehicles, communicate with the Service Advisor, and support customers with accurate estimates and timely service.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Diesel Technician experience.
• Ford Diesel experience is a plus.
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• Ford or other OEM experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel vehicles per repair orders.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C, etc.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional services.
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
• Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Requirements

• Must have at least 1-2 years of Diesel Technician Experience
• Ford Diesel experience is a PLUS
• ASE Certification is a plus
• Ford or other OEM experience required
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be a team player
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
