This position is responsible for responding to resident service requests, troubleshooting maintenance issues, and upholding safety standards, all while fostering a positive living environment. With a strong focus on craftsmanship and problem-solving, the Maintenance Technician is instrumental in helping Arcan deliver superior customer service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare apartments, which may include painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping duties, and other tasks to ensure a quality move-in experience.
2. Perform routine interior and exterior community maintenance such as painting, snow/ice removal, gutter cleaning, replacing filters, working with trash compactors, etc.
3. Maintain community equipment, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
4. Respond promptly and professionally to all repair requests and maintenance concerns from residents and staff.
5. Report maintenance concerns, equipment malfunctions, and hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor.
6. Maintain resident privacy and obtain proper authorization before entering apartments.
7. Ensure all maintenance items are stored safely to prevent injuries.
8. Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
9. Attend training and work with vendors as instructed.
10. Follow all safety and OSHA requirements, and be knowledgeable of fair housing laws.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including on-call, weekends, and holidays.

Education & Experience

• 3+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC, EPA, and/or CPO certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
