Qualifications

Join to apply for the Maintenance Lead Technician role at Arcan Capital

Arcan Capital is committed to providing an exceptional living experience for our residents by maintaining high-quality communities. The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in this mission by performing maintenance, repair, groundskeeping, and other interior and exterior duties under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities include responding to resident service requests, troubleshooting issues, and upholding safety standards to foster a positive living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare apartments for market, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general repairs to ensure a quality move-in experience.
  2. Perform routine interior and exterior maintenance such as painting, snow/ice removal, gutter cleaning, filter replacements, and working with trash compactors.
  3. Maintain community equipment, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
  4. Respond promptly and professionally to all repair requests and maintenance concerns.
  5. Report any issues with vacant units, common areas, equipment malfunctions, or hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  6. Ensure resident privacy and proper authority before entering apartments.
  7. Keep maintenance items in safe areas to prevent injuries.
  8. Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
  9. Attend training sessions as assigned and work with vendors as instructed.
  10. Follow all safety, OSHA, and fair housing laws.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including on-call, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience.
  • HVAC, EPA, or CPO certifications preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
