Job summary

America's Heartland Packing is seeking a Lead Person in maintenance to supervise a small team and handle daily PMs and repair work on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and welding systems. The role requires adherence to GMPs, safety protocols, and the ability to work with production and quality teams in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The candidate should have 5+ years in industrial maintenance, a GED or higher, and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old and legally employable in the United States.
• 6 months maintenance experience at American Foods Group.
• 5+ years of related experience in industrial maintenance or food manufacturing.
• Ability to read/write English and follow instructions, work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead up to 5 team members to perform daily tasks and paperwork.
• Implement mechanical and engineering projects.
• Ensure all daily PMs and paperwork are completed.
• Maintain production lines in good mechanical order.
• Follow GMPs and safety practices; participate in lockout/tagout as needed.
• Set up machinery, inspect, test, tear down and repair equipment.
• Diagnose machine issues and coordinate with supervisors.
• Dismantle defective machines and install parts; perform lubrication and repairs.
• Perform related duties as required by the organization.
