Job summary

PowerSecure in Durham, NC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations for manufacturing and facility equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production. You will supervise technicians, drive preventive and corrective maintenance, and manage projects to maximize uptime and Overall Operational Effectiveness.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance, 2+ years in leadership, and 4+ years in project management, with PMP/PRINCE2 preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• 5+ years of industrial equipment maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• 4+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Professional project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and schedule maintenance technicians to support operational requirements and ensure appropriate technical competency across the team.
• Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability, uptime, and Overall Operational Effectiveness (OOE).
• Monitor maintenance performance metrics, budgets, and inventory levels, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
• Partner with manufacturing leadership to ensure equipment performance supports production goals and operational efficiency.
• Oversee facility and equipment maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements, and other safety standards.
• Utilize strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 110V and 480V applications, to troubleshoot and support equipment performance.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external resources, including contractors, vendors, equipment manufacturers, and service providers.
• Develop, maintain, and improve maintenance procedures, work instructions, best practices, and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, specifications, and other technical documentation.
• Utilize maintenance management systems and project management software to track work, resources, project status, and performance outcomes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills while effectively managing priorities and deadlines.
• Communicate project updates, performance results, risks, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset with a focus on safety, quality, reliability, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
