Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son is seeking a Maintenance Technician to safeguard continuous production in a food manufacturing environment.

The role performs preventive maintenance on conveyors, mixers, packaging lines, and refrigeration, while diagnosing and repairing issues to minimize downtime. The position requires strong electrical/mechanical skills, PLC/SCADA experience, and the ability to operate CMMS documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school education preferred.
• 5 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably automated food processing.
• 5 years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery including conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment and refrigeration systems.
• Inspect, lubricate, and adjust equipment to meet production needs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and implement repairs to minimize downtime.
• Respond to emergency unscheduled repairs during production to prevent disruptions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of production areas; monitor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Document maintenance activities and keep records in the CMMS.
• Coordinate with supervisors and operators to prioritize tasks and minimize downtime.
• Provide technical assistance and training on equipment operation and safety procedures.
